Enter General Ledger Transactions
The general ledger transaction feature provides various tools to allow data entry directly into the general ledger. The difference between these tools lies in what additional areas they may /may not post too.
The general ledger entry allows only posting to the general ledger. No subsidiaries, project, or bank accounts will be modified. These entries may be reversed.
The journal entry allows posting to the ledger, and also to subsidiary ledgers, project system, and bank accounts. These entries may be reversed. These entries also may be voided.
The statistical ledger entry allows only posting to the statistical ledger. No subsidiaries, project, or bank accounts will be modified. These entries may be reversed.
